Our story
We're a small company of 10 employees with a head office in Guernsey and have been working on the internet for more years than we care to remember and wanted to offer great products and great prices in an auction style that was fun and rewarding.
We saw that people were getting fantastic discounts on other auction websites but everyone was auctioning the same items.. electrical goods, TV's etc. With the media full of stories of recession we thought we'd auction something that provided a real saving to people and a quick poll of our colleagues showed the need for a voucher only auction site where it was fun to bid and you could make great savings.
We also understood that many auction sites are auctioning very high value items like cars and plasma TV's, which looks exciting but in fact, is not beneficial to the bidders because hundreds will bid on one auction that can last for weeks. We decided to cap the level of the prizes at a figure that meant they would always be attainable. This results in each auction being less hotly contested and more winners being generated.
And that, as they say.. is our story.
